If you take the Fabro exit of the highway Rome-Milan, about midway between Rome and Florence, (120 Km’s from both) after 3 Km’s you will suddenly find yourselves in another world, in another time.
SALCI is a small Italian unknown jewel: an uninhabited middle age fortified village surrounded by walls, on the top of a small hill just on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, recently and partially restored by the owners.
Nearby there is the castle and the church. Just when you reach the village of Salci, that will suddenly appearat the end of a curve, you will feel the spell of a medievalatmosphere, immersedin a scrupulously preserved natural environment, that makes this place an outstanding experience.
By contrast you will appreciate the modern comfort of "Le Due Colombe", ("the two doves") two small independent apartments -on request they can be joined through an interior door - where rural decor and modern comfort are harmoniously integrated.
The swimmingpool is shared with the owners.
Le Due Colombe are a dependence of the Casale Di Salci, which is a 19° century magnificent mansion, perfectly estored, immersed in a hilly forest, a main building in which live the owners with their gentle dog, a kind English, Russian and French speaking couple with many hobbies, including the breeding of two thorough breeds horses.
Apartment A consists of a spacious living room with sofa-single-bed and kitchen corner,a double bedroom and toilet with tub.
Apartment B has only a large living room with double sofa bed, kitchen corner and bathroom with Shower. In total 3 sleeps & 2 sleeps.
Furnishing and interior decorations is of top quality, personally planned by the owner, a French lady. The property is at the crossroad with Toscana e Umbria, two of the Italian regions more endowed with artistic and naturaltreasures. From within the apartment, resting on your sofa, you will be able to enjoythe sight of Tuscany and Umbrian's gentle hills, trimmed with cypresses, vineyards, farmhouses and castles.
In the background there is Monte Cetona, behind which the sun will fire intense and dramatic sunsets.
